COVID-19
Coronavirus or COVID-19 is now widespread throughout most communities in Georgia. The success of our efforts to slow the further spread of coronavirus across Georgia depends on the residents of Georgia. We must slow the spread of the virus in order to protect those that are most vulnerable to severe outcomes from the disease, and enable our healthcare system to deliver care to those in need. We need to continue to do good job at social distancing, which means stay at home as much as possible even if you feel fine and stay at least 6 feet from others when you are out. Wearing a mask when away from home is recommended and will help stop the spread of COVID-19 in the event you are positive but have no symptoms. Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly, do not gather in groups, and avoid all non-essential travel. COVID-19 testing is indicated for anyone with compatible symptoms as well as certain groups of people who are asymptomatic, such as healthcare workers and first responders.
